Liza was born in Russia and moved to Israel in the age of 20. She studyied ballroom dancing throughout her childhood, but her real passion for dance began in 2000 in NY, while attending Zouk, Samba and Gafieira classes in Tropical NY Latin dance school, led by Aochan and Mari. Since then, she has looked for every opportunity to learn and participate in as many Zouk Lambada congresses as she can in Europe and in Brazil, while she has studied with some of the best Lambazouk teachers from all over the world.
Liza is credited with being the first person to introduce Zouk Lambada to an Israeli audience. In 2005, together with her dance partner Eyal, she founded Zouk Lambada Israel – a fast growing dance school, specializing in Zouk Lambada, and other Brazilian dances. Liza has collaborated with many Brazilian dance instructors on Zouk Lambada Israel activities, including such internationally known teachers and performers as Braz dos Santos and Gilson Damasco.
Liza was part of the jury for the Zouk Lambada competition at the 2009 Congress in Porto Seguro, and taught at the DansaBrasil Congress 2009.
