He started working as a choreographer in 2000, when he started the dance company, “Conexão Arte Urbana” with his partners Gui Almeida and Eddy Viera. Over the years, the company has been very successful and has managed to win a lot of Awards in dances festivals from all over the Brazil.

In 2002 Wakko began to travel abroad as a professional dancer for Cruise companies, and began performing in casinos and clubs.

Since then he has been concentrating most of his energy on introducing Zouk to the rest of the world by offering classes in both the Neo Zouk style and Zouk Flow. When Wakko is not busy teaching, he spends the majority of his time choreographing, producing and performing in his own Brazilian dance shows. He currently works as an instructor in Moscow, Russia.
